About the test
Accu-Chem Laboratories, a lab based in Richardson, Texas, specializes in analyzing samples for exposure to pesticides, herbicides, PCB's, solvents, and other chemicals. A full list of their test panels can be found here.

Health conditions this test is used to assess
The test panels are used specifically to measure the level of exposure to chemicals such as pesticides, herbicides, PCB's, and solvents. It can be used when there is a history of exposure or if a patient has multiple chemical sensitivity.

What is involved?
Samples are taken of blood, fat tissue and/or urine, depending on what chemical is being tested. The specimen is sent to the lab in Texas for analysis.

How do I get this test done?
The tests must be ordered by your doctor. If your doctor would like more information about these tests, he or she can call in and request laboratory information that can be sent by mail or fax. Your doctor may also speak with one of the lab's toxicologists. The lab also has a list of doctors they have worked with in the past and can refer you to someone in your area.
