drinking enough water

I've installed a filter in my basement that filters only the cold water pipes to my taps, although one house had to have all the cold water filtered because of the arrangement of the pipes . It is so much easier to just go run a glass of water like anybody else! It isn't too expensive to have the filter installed but the filters might get pricey if you use a lot of cold water - remember your cold laundry won't be softened, although you could set it up that way but then you'd be drinking softened water. We only need a new filter every 6 months so the price is moderate since they come 2 to a pack.

I like drinking water immediately after brushing my teeth. Then my mouth has a toothpaste taste long enough to be able to drink down 20 ounces water. Reverse osmosis water is cleaner tasting than tap or spring water. Before I had this idea I almost did not drink anything. This idea helped me get at least some.

I pre-fill GLASS bottles from juice or soda water(its a great way to recycle) and leave them by my front door and /or put them in my car (only in cold months).

When you empty, just refill

I always think of drinking my water when i go to the washroom to empty my bladder. this way i'm not loosing water and it's a great reminder. I never feel dehydrated doing this.

Filter bottle

I actually just carry around a water bottle with a filter in it. It's simple enough, because it's there, and you just kind of drink it. You don't really need to get a fancy water bottle, I just carry around the first water bottle I happen to grab.

Summer Winter

I switched from carrying very heavy bottles of water from the supermarket to buying a filter jug. The taste was different but I got used to it. In the summer I love nothing more than a cold drink of water straight from the fridge. But in winter I have to drink it at room temperature as it is more of an incentive to continue to drink water. I aim to drink 2 8oz glasses first thing in the morning and then make sure I have a glass full within 2 hours of the last. Adding cucumber, mint leaves, ginger & lemon can help jazz up a jug of water.

Type of Glass Helps

It may sound silly, but I drink more water during the day when I use a pretty wine glass.

Drink water when you're busy!

Busyness=snacking mood so instead of going for the pop, have a drink of water nearby! That way you'll keep drinking a bit throughout the day without really thinking about it, lol!

Clean and refreshing water is best

The Brita helped alot, made the water taste clean, unlike tap water. (Downside- it takes a few minutes to filter a significant amount. I have to keep refilling it every few minutes) And yes, the water's best at room temp. I noticed I'm able to drink much more at a time when it's not cold.
