Surprise mom with some healthy herbal teas
Chai tea - Chai is a spiced tea made with black tea and a combination of spices such as cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, and cloves. Milk or soy milk is added to the hot tea and it is often sweetened. This hot tea is soothing and the spices in chai aid digestion.
Yerba maté tea - If mom is trying to cut back on coffee but finds it hard, yerba maté (pronounced YER-ba MA-tay) tea may be the answer. Yerba maté is a hot tea originating in South America. It contains a compound very similar to caffeine that is believed to be less stimulating.
White peony tea - This is a rare white tea made from buds picked in early spring. The leaves of this tea look like white blossoms with small leaves, which is why this tea is gets its name.
