This is a tea recipe made with ingredients traditionally used to balance the pitta type, according to Ayurveda. The recipe was created by Ayurvedic chef Patti Garland (www.blisskitchen.com). Edible rose petals can be found online or at some health food stores. Enjoy!

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon coriander
  • 1/4 teaspoon fennel
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh cilantro
  • 1/4 teaspoon rose petals
  • 1 cup boiling water

PREPARATION:

1. Mix all the ingredients together, except for the water.

2. Add the boiling water.

3. Steep for 5 minutes.

4. Strain and serve.
