The Natural Pharmacy: Book Review
The Natural Pharmacy (Crown Publishing, 1999) is a comprehensive, evidence-based review of natural medicine that includes herbs, supplements, nutrition, and homeopathy.
The authors are experienced clinicians -- physicians, chiropractors, naturopathic doctors and homeopaths -- who examined the research on natural medicine and compiled their information in this useful and well-organized guide.
Over 120 conditions are listed, along with a description and ranking of the nutritional supplements, herbs and homeopathic treatments that have been shown to be effective in research studies. Most supplements and herbs are cross-referenced with a full monograph.
The section Homeopathic Remedies will help the beginner. For each condition, the top remedies and their characteristic symptom pictures are described.
Update: There are newer books available that I would recommend instead but at the time it was published, this was a wonderful reference book.
