Larch Arabinogalactan for a Stronger Immune System?

As cold and flu season continues, shoring up your immune system is essential for staving off sickness. A fiber-rich substance sourced from the wood of the larch tree, larch arabinogalactan is thought to increase your levels of probiotics (a type of beneficial bacteria found known to play a key role in immune function).

To date, research on the immune-boosting benefits of larch arabinogalactan is fairly limited. However, some preliminary studies show that larch arabinogalactan may stimulate activity in certain immune cells. What's more, there's some evidence that using larch arabinogalactan in combination with echinacea may be particularly helpful in improving immune function.

To stay healthy this winter, you can also shield your immune system by getting plenty of sleep, exercising regularly, following a balanced diet full of vitamin-rich fruits and vegetables, and upping your intake of immune-enhancing herbs like garlic and ginger.
