High in healthy fats, olive oil isn't the only olive-tree product that might enhance your heart health. Preliminary research suggests that olive leaf extract may also help fend off heart disease. In tests on animals, for instance, scientists have discovered that olive leaf extract may help lower blood pressure, protect against insulin resistance, and prevent atherosclerosis.
