Fucoxanthin is an antioxidant found naturally in edible brown seaweed such as wakame, the seaweed used in miso soup. You'd have to eat an unrealistic amount of seaweed daily to come close to levels used in research studies, so it's also available in supplement form.
Although you may not have heard of it before, fucoxanthin supplements are being explored for weight loss.
