Yeast Infection Remedies

Friday June 2, 2006
It's estimated that three out of four women will have a yeast infection in their lifetime. Vaginal yeast infections are caused by a fungus called Candida albicans which is normally found in small amounts in the vagina but can overgrow when the vaginal pH balance changes from its normal acidic levels to a more alkaline one.

What causes this to happen? A number of factors, such as menstrual periods, pregnancy, diabetes, birth control pills, steroids, and antibiotic use. Yeast infections are also more common after menopause due to declining estrogen levels, which thin the vaginal walls. Find out about yeast infection remedies.

I’ve heard a bottle of 3% peroxide can work great for a bunch of problems including yeast infections. And I was told by a friend that if you put two cap-fulls into a douche you can prevent/treat yeast infections. This didn’t work completely for me, but you could still definitely try it as it did work for my friend. I started getting yeast infections at a young age, and I kept getting them. I tried lots of the remedies you listed and still had issues. I didn’t want to go to the doctor, being so shy. But I finally found something that worked at http://natural-yeast-infection-cure.com. Good luck to everyone and I hope you find help!
