Holistic Approach to Ulcerative Colitis
Tuesday May 23, 2006
Ulcerative colitis is an inflammatory bowel disease that can cause abdominal pain (often in the lower left side of the abdomen), bloody diarrhea, mucus in stools, fever, weight loss, loss of appetite. Symptoms may also occur outside the gut, such as joint pain, eye inflammation, skin rashes and lesions, and mouth ulcers. A large survey published in the Canadian Journal of Gastroenterology found that people with inflammatory bowel disease were more likely to use alternative medicine if they already use alternative medicine, desire an active role in treatment decisions, and have more severe disease activity. Here are some of the remedies showing promise for ulcerative colitis.

I have found a new whole food nutrition supplement (nothing man made and not a pill) that has helped many people I know with stomach disorders. It is loaded with omegas 3,6,7,& 9, vitamin C, quercitin, B12, and many more (it has actually been studied and found to have over 190 bio active nutrients in it) It is made from the sea buckthorn berry found in the Hymalayas (it can be found in other areas but doesn’t have near the nutrient content) It is called Sibu you can study it and find out more about it at rjsibu.com! It’s amazing!
