Magnets Useless for Heel Pain?

A study published in this week's Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) found that magnetic insoles didn't protect against the heel pain of plantar fasciitis any more than regular insoles.
The study was a randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled trial involving 101 adults.
Americans buy $500 million worth of magnetized health products yearly. Many people say that placing them against a painful body part may increase blood flow or change the way nerves transmit pain.
